Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk commands an aggressive Boros kindred deck that converts Dwarf deployment into an explosive artifact token engine. The strategy relies on playing low-cost Dwarves during the first three turns to establish board presence and activate the Storied mechanic. Casting Thorin on Turn 5 anchors the battlefield: every subsequent Dwarf creates a Treasure token, while Thorin grants all other Dwarves an escalating power boost equal to your artifact token count. Supported by token multipliers and combat equipment like Academy Manufactor and Orcrist, the deck transitions into lethal combat swings by Turn 6. While the list avoids infinite combos and fast mana, it delivers consistent mid-game pressure through wide combat attacks, direct damage triggers, and dragon payoffs. Its primary vulnerabilities stem from reliance on creature combat and susceptibility to sweepers, though tools like Concerted Care and The Eagles Are Coming provide necessary defense.
