Deck overview

This Dimir artifact deck is commanded by Golbez, Crystal Collector, combining graveyard synergies with artifact token generation to establish an asymmetric burn and recursion clock. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly populating the battlefield with cheap artifacts and artifact creatures while tutoring high-power creatures into the graveyard. Once the deck hits four artifacts, Golbez continuously recurs threats to the hand each end step. At eight artifacts, Golbez transitions into a lethal win condition, draining all opponents simultaneously based on the power of the returned creature—most notably Death's Shadow, which burns for 13 life per trigger. Secondary avenues of victory include Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge for artifact-scaled drain, Urza, Lord High Artificer and Simulacrum Synthesizer for massive Construct beatdown, and Bolas's Citadel for explosive turns. The deck features resilience through recursive pieces like Academy Ruins and Scrap Trawler, though it remains exposed to mass artifact wipes.
