Winota

Format: Commander

Commander: Winota, Joiner of Forces

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Winota, Joiner of Forces is the engine: cheap non-Human tokens and creatures attack to trigger her, cheating Humans into play tapped and attacking with indestructible. The primary plan is a turn-4 Winota curve into a go-wide combat kill, with Blade Historian, Angrath's Marauders, and Heroic Reinforcements as finishers. Secondary paths are a fair Boros token beatdown plan with anthems and No Witnesses as a reset, plus Alexios as a repeatable attacker that cannot attack you. There is no hidden commander; Alexios is a Winota-flip target, not a build-around. The deck is moderately dependent on Winota: without her it still makes tokens, but loses its card-advantage engine and much of its speed.
