Deck overview

This Dimir deck pairs Francisco, Fowl Marauder and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to execute a potent tempo and combo game plan. In the early turns, it deploys cheap, evasive Pirates to establish consistent combat connections, generating Treasures via Malcolm and smoothing card selection through Francisco's explore triggers. This early mana acceleration and card velocity transition rapidly into tutoring for artifact payoffs. The primary win condition combines Malcolm with Academy Manufactor (or token duplication effects) and Time Sieve to take infinite extra turns starting on Turn 5. As extra turns chain together, Francisco grows into a massive commander threat through repeated explore triggers, eliminating all opponents in a single continuous turn cycle. Supported by an extensive package of efficient 0–2 mana counterspells and targeted removal, the deck protects its combo pieces and disrupts opposing win attempts with ease, making it a highly resilient and proactive strategy.
