Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Izzet combo-tempo list led by the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The core engine utilizes Malcolm's Pirate damage trigger alongside Kediss's ability to deal Malcolm's combat damage to all opponents, generating three Treasure tokens on every single attack. This explosive mana velocity powers out rapid card-draw engines like Curiosity and facilitates a compact Turn 4 infinite damage win through Glint-Horn Buccaneer. The deck also features strong secondary win paths, including turning pingers like Reckless Fireweaver into Pirates with Trickery Charm or Imagecrafter to create infinite artifact-entry damage loops, as well as classic Niv-Mizzet, Parun curiosity combos. Backed by a lean suite of low-cost countermagic and bounce interaction, the list smoothly protects its win attempts while disrupting opposing early plays.
