Auntie Ool Blight by Veoga

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a -1/-1 counter value engine helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, built to weaponize counters in both directions: blighting opponents' creatures to kill them and drain life, while blighting your own creatures to draw cards. The commander's trigger - draw on your own countered creatures, drain on opponents' - turns every counter placement into advantage. The deck layers token generation (Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses), counter spreading (Blowfly Infestation, Carnifex Demon), and proliferate (Evolution Sage, Agent Frank Horrigan) to snowball. It wins through incremental drain, a deathtouch token swarm, and burst finishers like Soul Immolation and Fire Covenant. This is a grindy midrange deck that trades tempo for inevitability.
