Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos forced-combat and aristocrat-attrition strategy helmed by Kardur, Doomscourge. The primary game plan revolves around casting Kardur to force all opposing creatures into lethal combat with one another while shielding your own life total. As opposing armies clash and die, Kardur and complementary drain pieces like Blood Artist systematically whittle down life totals. The deck sustains this pressure by recurring Kardur's enters-the-battlefield trigger through blink artifacts like Conjurer's Closet, land utilities like Sanctum of Eternity, and low-cost revival instants like Supernatural Stamina. Secondary threats such as Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, Death Kiss, and Rite of the Raging Storm accelerate the clock by boosting combat damage across the table. When the dust settles and opposing life totals are depleted, high-impact finishers such as Rise of the Dark Realms and Fiery Emancipation seal the victory.
