Deck overview

This Gruul stompy deck utilizes the partner pairing of Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood and Alena, Kessig Trapper to power out massive creatures well ahead of curve. Built within Pauper Commander constraints, the deck runs dense 1-3 mana ramp alongside numerous high-cost creatures with cycling to ensure consistent land drops in the early game. Once both commanders are assembled on Turn 4, Gilanra casts a 6+ CMC beater to draw a card, which immediately lets Alena tap for massive bursts of red mana to deploy additional threats. The deck overwhelms opponents with trampling beaters like Annoyed Altisaur, Maelstrom Colossus, and Ulamog's Crusher. While it lacks stack interaction and sweepers, it protects key threats with efficient instant-speed defensive tricks like Gaea's Gift and uses bite spells to remove opposing blockers.
