Deck overview

This deck is a focused combo build centered on executing the classic Worldgorger Dragon and Animate Dead loop. Rather than functioning as a traditional dragon-tribal strategy, the deck leverages Scion of the Ur-Dragon or an extensive suite of Transmute cards, land searchers, and direct-to-graveyard tutors to assemble the combo quickly and consistently. By looping Worldgorger Dragon with an aura like Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, or Necromancy, all permanents flicker repeatedly. This triggers utility lands like Sunscorched Desert or generates infinite mana to activate Shivan Gorge, eliminating all opponents simultaneously. The list is constrained by a heavily budget-oriented manabase composed largely of tapped lands and lacks high-speed mana rocks or free interaction, placing its reliable execution on Turn 5. If the combo is interrupted by exile or well-timed spot removal, the deck faces severe recovery hurdles.
