Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black ability-theft and aristocrats engine commanded by Koh, the Face Stealer. The strategy revolves around exiling high-impact creatures from the battlefield or graveyard to borrow their activated and triggered abilities. Key targets such as Tree of Perdition, Asmodeus the Archfiend, Avatar of Woe, and Cinderhaze Wretch transform Koh and backup engines like Necrotic Ooze or Agatha's Soul Cauldron into lethal utility hubs. Supported by an aristocrats foundation featuring Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Grave Pact, and Warren Soultrader, the deck controls opposing creature boards while accumulating card advantage. Mana ramp like Crypt Ghast and Cabal Coffers fuels expensive recast costs and multi-activation turns. The deck finishes games through rapid life exchanges with Tree of Perdition, massive drains from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or combat damage over two response cycles.
