Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis attrition and group-slug strategy led by Kefka, Court Mage. The game plan revolves around leveraging symmetric discard effects that become entirely asymmetric thanks to Kefka's card-drawing engine and powerful discard payoffs. By deploying early artifact mana, the deck casts Kefka ahead of curve on Turn 4, immediately forcing discards while refilling the pilot's hand. Continuous discard triggers from cards like Necrogen Mists, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal, and wheel effects systematically strip opponents of their answers and development options. Meanwhile, enchantments like Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not convert every discarded card into direct damage, zombie armies, and extra mana. High-efficiency interaction and redirection spells protect the board state while opponents are forced into top-deck mode, allowing the deck to close out the game through cumulative life loss and evasive combat.
