Format: Commander

Commander: Melek, Izzet Paragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An Izzet spellslinger deck built around Melek, Izzet Paragon as the primary engine: reveal the top, cast instants and sorceries from there, and copy them. The main kill is a one-turn burst with Epic Experiment, Muse Vortex, or Surge to Victory plus damage payoffs, while Dualcaster Mage + Stolen Identity is the only clean infinite line. Uvilda // Nassari and Birgi // Harnfel act as hidden commanders, giving the deck redundant cast-from-exile engines if Melek is hated out. Talrand and Balmor supply a drake/combat backup, and abundant counterspells keep the stack clear. The deck is resilient but lacks tutors, so games can be slower than its ceiling suggests.
