Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Mono-Green Stompy strategy helmed by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The core game plan focuses on deploying efficient 1-2 CMC ramp and over-statted 3-4 CMC beaters (such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Rhonas the Indomitable) to quickly accumulate 10 or more power on the battlefield. This power threshold reduces Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G}, enabling a Turn 4 deployment of a 12/12 trampling Elder Dinosaur. Once on board, Ghalta supercharges power-scaling card draw engines like Greater Good, Rishkar's Expertise, and The Great Henge, refilling the hand with gas. The deck then transitions into a decisive table elimination around Turn 6 using mass overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, Craterhoof Behemoth, or Unnatural Growth. It also features an infinite mana combo via Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Umbral Mantle, supported by robust protective instants to shrug off opposing interaction.
