Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a midrange Vampire Aristocrats build commanded by Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. The strategy centers on generating Vampire tokens, sacrificing them to free outlets like Bartolomé del Presidio and Ashnod's Altar, and draining opponents using Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. Carmen acts as a scaling flying threat and repeatable reanimation engine, returning lost permanents on each attack. The deck exerts powerful creature control using asymmetric sacrifice pieces like Grave Pact and Archfiend of Depravity. Because the list runs no generic tutors and relies heavily on Carmen for card flow, it experiences noticeable consistency issues when opening hands draw only token makers or only sacrifice outlets without the complementary pieces. Once assembled, the deck establishes an oppressive attrition engine by Turn 6 and closes out the game through combat and drain by Turn 9.
