Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. The game plan revolves around handing out Banana tokens to opponents and punishing them with dense artifact removal. Every artifact an opponent sacrifices or loses to removal puts +1/+1 counters on Kibo and your other Apes. The deck backs up this strategy with big stompy creatures like Kogla, the Titan Ape, Gruff Triplets, and Cultivator Colossus, alongside combat multipliers like Unnatural Growth and Stonehoof Chieftain. While the deck efficiently destroys artifacts and punishes noncreature strategies, it lacks creature tutors, stack-based countermagic, and instant-speed board protection. It aims to establish an operational engine by Turn 4, create a lethal combat threat by Turn 6, and close out the game through combat damage by Turn 8.
