Izzet by Vampmagick

Format: Commander

Commander: Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Izzet spellslinger deck built primarily around Ral's front face, Monsoon Mage, as a permanent cost reducer for instants and sorceries. The main plan is to cantrip and filter until assembling Underworld Breach + Brain Freeze + Lotus Petal: Brain Freeze storm copies are aimed at opponents to mill libraries, while two copies target the pilot each cycle to refuel the escape costs. Ral's planeswalker back is a secondary finisher and engine, not the main plan. Guttersnipe, Thunderdrum Soloist, and Opus creatures provide a damage backup, while Sanar/Wild Idea and Solstice Revelations tutor missing pieces. Nexus of Fate with Sanar and Skycoach Waypoint offers a slower extra-turn fallback, but no card in the deck replaces the primary mill loop.
