Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellcraft combo deck led by Codie, Ravenous Codex, utilizing custom prepare mechanics. Prepare creatures enter the battlefield ready to cast an attached spell copy, which unprepares them upon resolution. Codie triggers whenever a prepared spell is cast, creating a second copy of that spell for free. The early game focuses on deploying prepare creatures that provide ramp, fixing, and card selection. Once Codie enters on Turn 3, subsequent turns yield overwhelming resource advantage through doubled card draw such as Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and massive mana bursts from Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song or Yavimaya Bloomsage // Channel. The primary win condition tutors for Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate, copying it with Codie to drain the entire table for 40 or more life in a single turn.
