Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons to convert -1/-1 counter placement into a continuous stream of 1/1 deathtouch Snake tokens. By combining counter distribution with aristocrat death triggers, the deck controls opposing creature boards while accumulating card advantage through engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. The primary win condition revolves around pairing Hapatra or Nest of Scarabs with Blowfly Infestation and a drain payoff like Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Obelisk Spider. This creates an infinite self-sustaining loop that drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn. Strong ramp and low-cost protection spells ensure the deck develops smoothly while safeguarding its combo pieces.
