Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch commands a synergistic Jund -1/-1 counters aristocrats deck that transforms counter distribution into overwhelming card advantage, asymmetric board control, and table-wide life drain. Leveraging dense 1–2 CMC ramp, the deck casts Auntie Ool ahead of curve on Turn 3 and immediately establishes token generation engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs. Distributing -1/-1 counters across both friendly and opposing boards draws vast quantities of cards while steadily whittling down opponent life totals. Asymmetric control pieces like Kulrath Knight and Necroskitter pacify and steal opposing creatures, locking out opposing combat strategies. The deck closes games around Turn 7 through compounded aristocrat drain from Blood Artist, Obelisk Spider, and Bastion of Remembrance, or via self-sustaining token loops with Blowfly Infestation. While lacking stack interaction and universal tutors, its sheer card velocity and redundant payoffs provide relentless mid-game inevitability.
