New Untitled Deck by canaan2

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield is a cheap Boros support commander: he brings trample and, once the deck turns on its "storied" threshold of three artifacts/legendaries/Sagas, gives every artifact and creature you control ward {1}. The real engine is the Dwarf/Equipment shell built around Bruenor Battlehammer, Kili the Resourceful, and a deep Equipment package. The plan is to develop legendary Dwarves and cheap Equipment, turn on storied payoffs like Bifur, Melodic Rider, Dain, Lord of the Iron Hills, and Fili the Pathfinder, then close with either a heavily equipped commander (Colossus Hammer/Embercleave) or a hasty token burst from Goldwardens' Gambit amplified by Gratuitous Violence and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. A Dragon/treasure subtheme via Magda, the Hoardmaster and The Misty Mountains Cold supplies mana and a secondary board. It is a midrange Boros aggro deck with almost no draw or tutoring, which is its defining flaw.
