Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is an aggressive tribal strategy led by Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar that utilizes Kaheera, the Orphanguard as a companion. The deck curves low-cost Cat creatures into power-modifying anthems, equipment, and +1/+1 counter synergies. Kutzil provides a dual benefit: it silences all opposing spellcasting during your turn to ensure uninterrupted sequencing, and it generates steady card advantage whenever your modified creatures deal combat damage to players. Mana acceleration from signets, auras, and lands fuels a mid-game wide board of Cats generated by token creators like Leonin Warleader and Kemba, Kha Regent. The deck converts this wide presence into victory around Turn 6 through mass-overrun effects such as Overrun, Jazal Goldmane, and Raksha Golden Cub. While resilient against instant-speed interaction on your own turn, the strategy relies on natural draws to find sweep protection against opposing main phases.
