Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan revolves around deploying efficient Zombie creatures, casting Gisa, and sacrificing high-power or recurring creatures like Grave Titan, Soulless One, and Gravecrawler to flood the battlefield with 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once the board is established, tribal lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Liliana's Mastery provide substantial power buffs and evasion. The deck also incorporates aristocrat elements like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to drain opponents directly as Zombies enter and die. Asymmetric board control is achieved through Noxious Ghoul, which repeatedly sweeps opposing non-Zombie boards whenever tokens enter. While the deck lacks fast mana, tutors, and targeted protection spells, its deep redundancy, resilient graveyard recursion, and explosive token generation create a relentless, compounding mid-game combat threat.
