Kuroki by Kevbottron

Format: Commander

Commander: Kuroki, Thief of Talents

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black group-slug / discard-punisher deck helmed by Kuroki, Thief of Talents. The plan floods opponents with extra cards via Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Seizan, Perverter of Truth, and Peer into the Abyss, then converts those draws and the ensuing discards into table-wide drain through Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, Megrim, Liliana's Caress, and Waste Not. Primary wins are the classic Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank loop, Peer into the Abyss into any draw-punisher, and empty-hand activations from Tinybones, Trinket Thief. Kuroki himself is a flexible value body that either steals a free spell or grows into a menace threat, but every combo line and engine lives fully in the 99, so the deck functions cleanly without him. Secondary pressure comes from devotion drains (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Crypt Ghast) and attrition locks (Oppression, Painful Quandary, Chains of Mephistopheles).
