Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain tribal and discard-synergy strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The plan focuses on deploying aggressive Villain creatures, utilizing repeatable connive triggers to sculpt hand quality, and converting discards into table-wide life loss. In the early turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and low-curve Villains. By Turn 4, Doctor Doom enters the battlefield to provide menace and combat connive triggers, burning each opponent for 2 life whenever a land is discarded while growing attackers with +1/+1 counters on nonland discards. Mid-game pressure builds through anthem and token engines such as Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, and The Squadron Sinister, transforming looting into formidable aerial assaults. Meanwhile, flexible Grixis interaction—including efficient removal, board wipes, and targeted countermagic—keeps opposing threats in check. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through accumulated combat damage and persistent discard drain without relying on infinite combos.
