Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jeskai midrange engine built around Gwen Stacy // Ghost-Spider, capitalizing on 'play from exile' mechanics. In the early game, the deck establishes mana rocks and deploys Gwen Stacy on turn 2 before transforming her into Ghost-Spider on turn 4. Ghost-Spider acts as both an evasive combat threat and a self-fuelling card engine, accumulating +1/+1 counters whenever cards are played from exile and removing those counters to exile additional cards. Midgame turns pivot into explosive storm-like sequences fueled by low-cost impulse spells such as Reckless Impulse, Wrenn's Resolve, and Jeska's Will. These exile triggers activate a dense suite of asymmetric payoffs, including Passionate Archaeologist, Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival, Vivi Ornitier, and Quintorius Kand, flooding the board with hasty tokens and burning opponents directly. The deck protects its engine using versatile defensive tools like Teferi's Protection and Spectacular Spider-Man before closing the game around turn 7.
