Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is a fast, highly synergistic Izzet Spellslinger Storm deck designed to convert noncreature spell casts into lethal board-wide burn and overwhelming card advantage. The primary strategy revolves around deploying Vivi on Turn 3 and attaching a damage-trigger draw engine like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Turn 4. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each spell draws three cards, fueling an explosive storm chain. Rituals like Rite of Flame, Pyretic Ritual, and Jeska's Will, alongside mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Vivi's own {0} power-based mana ability, generate abundant mana to sustain the loop. The deck finishes in a single turn by casting 35-40 spells to burn the table to zero, or through an infinite damage loop with Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity. Dense 1-mana countermagic and protection cards like Deflecting Swat and Hexing Squelcher safeguard the winning turn.
