This deck is a Boros historic-matters value engine helmed by Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant // Phoenix, Warden of Fire. The primary plan is to filter the hand with Joshua's ETB, then transform him into a Saga that deals chip damage and reanimates multiple creatures with total mana value 6. The 99 is built around a dense network of small-creature synergies (many with power 2 or less), token generation (Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, Arabella, Abandoned Doll), and historic payoffs (Arbaaz Mir, Gloin, Dwarf Emissary, Surtr, Fiery Jotun, Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn). The deck wins through combat-overwhelming the table with a wide board of tokens, life-linked fliers, and occasionally a huge Excalibur, Sword of Eden-boosted legend. Recurrence is plentiful (Sun Titan, Celestine, the Living Saint, Ascend from Avernus), giving it strong staying power in longer games. It lacks fast combo lines, instead aiming to out-value opponents over turns 8-10.
