Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Volo, Guide to Monsters leads a Simic ETB-value deck built around casting one of each creature type and copying it. The primary plan is to ramp into bombs like Hornet Queen, Old Gnawbone, and Cultivator Colossus, using Volo's copy trigger to double every enter-the-battlefield effect. Secondary paths lean on ETB removal and bounce to control the board, then finish with a critical mass of tokens or a giant trampler. Token multipliers such as Primal Vigor, Panharmonicon, and Bramble Sovereign amplify the swarm. Volo is the main engine, but a midrange good-stuff backup exists. Wins come from overwhelming combat damage, often boosted by Unnatural Growth or Overwhelming Encounter.
