Deck overview

This deck is an optimized competitive artifact combo-stax strategy helmed by Urza, Lord High Artificer. Urza functions as a formidable mana engine, an army-in-a-box via Construct tokens, and an infinite mana outlet in the command zone. The deck accelerates through early turns with efficient mana rocks and cost reducers, establishing an overwhelming mana advantage. It deploys asymmetric lock pieces like Winter Orb and Static Orb, which Urza taps down before your untap step to paralyze opponents while preserving your own development. The primary win condition relies on assembling infinite mana using Basalt Monolith and Power Artifact or Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal. Once infinite mana is achieved, Urza exiles the entire library to cast Walking Ballista, eliminating all opponents in a single turn. Backed by a dense package of free countermagic, flexible artifact tutors, and robust graveyard recursion, the deck operates with high velocity, resilience, and interactive control.
