Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis Villain-tribal build that weaponizes the connive mechanic: every draw-then-discard cycles cards, grows Villains, and feeds a stack of discard payoffs. Doom converts discarded land cards into 2 damage to each opponent and hands menace plus a free connive to a Villain each combat. The 99 is a dense web of Villain synergies - cost reducers (Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Tombstone, Career Criminal), repeatable connive engines (Leader, Super-Genius, Ultron, Unlimited, M.O.D.O.K.), tribal anthems (The Squadron Sinister, Doctor Octopus, Master Planner, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon), and the Mayhem mechanic, which lets discarded cards be recast from the graveyard. The deck buries opponents under evasive flying/menace Villains, rebuilds with Behold the Sinister Six!, and finishes through combat, while the plan-enchantment cycle (Glorious Purpose, Doom Reigns Supreme, Construct a Cosmic Cube) adds free spells and even a stolen turn. There are no infinite combos; this is a grindy midrange value deck.
