Deck overview

This Dimir control deck helmed by Talion, the Kindly Lord blends faerie tribal synergies with a dense countermagic and removal suite to grind out value. The commander acts as a repeatable draw engine and life-drain deterrent, choosing a number that aligns with the deck's low-curve threats and interaction (often 2 or 3). Primary win conditions include the infinite mill/life-loss loop between Mindcrank and Bloodchief Ascension, mass life drain via Sheoldred, the Apocalypse combined with wheels like Timetwister or Windfall, and an extra-turn combat finish from Notorious Throng with prowl. The deck excels at converting card advantage into a lock while accumulating combo pieces through a robust tutor package and redundant draw engines.
