Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain typal strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap Villain creatures, casting Doctor Doom to grant menace and connive at each combat step, and capitalizing on discard and token synergies. Discarding lands triggers direct life loss on opponents, while discarding nonland spells grows the board with +1/+1 counters. Mid-game threats like Ultron the Annihilator, The Squadron Sinister, and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon scale the board into an evasive combat threat, while utility pieces like Containment Construct and Currency Converter turn discards into mana and token advantage. The deck features strong permanent removal and creature recursion, but lacks counterspells and relies heavily on creature combat across multiple turn rotations to close games.
