Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control deck led by Vren, the Relentless that weaponizes symmetric sacrifice effects into a snowballing win condition. Vren replaces all opposing creature deaths with exile, completely shutting down opposing graveyard strategies while bypassing on-death triggers. In return, Vren creates Relentless Rat tokens at each end step equal to the number of opposing creatures exiled that turn. Because these tokens buff each other for every Rat you control, a single well-timed edict creature or asymmetric board wipe rapidly generates an insurmountable army. The deck supports this game plan with a dense suite of 1-to-2 mana ramp spells, efficient card draw engines like Black Market Connections and Idol of Oblivion, and free defensive spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deadly Rollick. Once the board is cleared of opposing blockers, the massive Rat swarm attacks for lethal combat damage.
