Deck overview

This Boros Angel Tribal deck uses Iroas, God of Victory to turn an army of high-flying Angels into an unstoppable offensive force. The game plan focuses on deploying cost-reducers and low-curve Angels like Giada, Font of Hope and Youthful Valkyrie in the opening turns, casting Iroas on Turn 4, and attacking without fear of combat damage. Evasion from flying combined with menace makes blocking mathematically grueling for opponents. Mid-to-late game powerhouses such as Righteous Valkyrie, Lyra Dawnbringer, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight rapidly escalate damage output and stabilize life totals. The deck backs up its combat pressure with efficient white spot removal like Swords to Plowshares and board protection like Boros Charm. While the deck excels in creature-based combat, it relies on drawn cards due to limited tutoring and remains vulnerable to non-damage board sweepers.
