Format: Commander

Commander: Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph commands a fast Izzet pinger deck. The main line is to put two or more 1-damage engine creatures on the battlefield and let Ghyrson turn every instant/sorcery into a wave of 6-9 damage across the table; the same triggers double as cheap removal. The backup is a Niv-Mizzet loop: Niv-Mizzet, Visionary plus Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind or Niv-Mizzet, Parun pings on every draw and draws on every ping, and Curiosity/Ophidian Eye create the same loop. Grapeshot and Past in Flames provide a storm finish. The commander is the damage multiplier, while Visionary is the hidden commander of the combo path.
