Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Gwenom, Remorseless as a Bolas's Citadel in the command zone, turning her attack trigger into explosive card velocity and cost cheating funded by life. Supported by fast mana rituals like Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak, the deck accelerates into game-winning combinations including Sensei's Divining Top with Aetherflux Reservoir and the classic Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose plus Exquisite Blood drain loop. A dense tutor suite featuring Demonic Tutor and Diabolic Intent ensures consistent access to combo pieces or proactive disruption pieces like Opposition Agent and Maralen of the Mornsong. While vulnerable to instant-speed creature removal before Gwenom attacks and lacking stack-based interaction, the deck's high density of redundant engines, reanimation tools, and silent-turn enablers like Conqueror's Flail provide a decisive, fast-closing game plan.
