Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan dual-tribal midrange engine commanded by Olag and Miau, New Friends. The game plan revolves around generating both Cat and Zombie creature tokens to exploit the commander's cross-tribal +1/+1 counter triggers and end-step life drain. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration with cards like Sol Ring, Nature's Lore, and Arcane Signet, followed by deploying low-cost token generators. Once Olag enters, attacking with Cats and Zombies creates immediate value: attacking taps the creatures, which scales the end-step drain against all opponents simultaneously. The deck features strong board-wide pump effects from cards like Felidar Retreat, Regal Caracal, and Mirror Entity, alongside a versatile removal suite featuring Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within, and Toxic Deluge. While susceptible to mass board wipes, the deck maintains steady card flow through Caretaker's Talent and Folk Hero to rebuild and close games quickly.
