Deck overview

This deck is an exhibition Grixis midrange control deck structured around gold tricolor spells, iconic villains, and Nicol Bolas lore. Rather than racing toward combo victories, it utilizes 2-mana artifacts to fix colors and accelerate into resilient 4- to 6-mana threats on curve. Engines such as Sauron, the Dark Lord, Saruman, the White Hand, and Davros, Dalek Creator generate continuous creature tokens and card advantage, while planeswalkers like Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh and Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God systematically strip opposing resources. Victory is achieved through multi-turn combat damage from growing Orc Armies, evasive Demons, and Nicol Bolas, backed by direct life loss and discard. While the deck boasts high threat density and rapid engine recovery, its strict thematic constraint omits counterspells and proactive protection spells, leaving its combat clock open to opposing sweepers.
