Deck overview

This mono-black attrition deck focuses on filling graveyards through self-mill and symmetrical mill while controlling the board with sacrifice effects. Led by Zodiark, Umbral God, the deck deploys early enablers like Mesmeric Orb and low-cost mill creatures to stock the graveyard. On Turn 5, casting Zodiark halves opposing creature boards and rapidly inflates the commander with +1/+1 counters. Powerful support cards like Tergrid, God of Fright, Opposition Agent, and Orcish Bowmasters punish opposing game actions and steal sacrificed resources. The deck leverages high-efficiency reanimation spells such as Reanimate and Animate Dead to return heavy threats, closing the game through commander damage and persistent attrition.
