Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control strategy built around Jon Irenicus, Shattered One. It plays undercosted creatures with massive drawbacks, such as Steel Golem, Phyrexian Negator, and Greater Harvester, and gives them to opponents. Jon buffs these creatures, goads them permanently, and makes them impossible to sacrifice. Opponents are forced to attack each other with these dangerous threats while suffering their severe downsides. Every time a donated creature attacks, Jon draws you a card, refueling your hand with counterspells, removal, and defensive pillowfort cards like Propaganda and Crawlspace. Once opponents eliminate one another through forced combat, you finish the last surviving player using mass bounce, control magic, or unblockable beatdown.
