Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, focusing on a Villain tribal theme paired with connive mechanics and discard value. The game plan centers on deploying efficient Villain creatures early, casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing combat connive triggers every turn to sculpt the hand while growing attackers with +1/+1 counters and draining opponents whenever land cards are pitched. Scaling payoffs like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Leader, Super-Genius amplify the combat clock, while discard enablers like Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress mitigate card disadvantage. The deck leverages high-impact top-end spells like Behold the Sinister Six! and Kindred Dominance to close out games through overwhelming board presence. While it boasts versatile permanent removal and dependable engine recovery through redundant creatures, the deck lacks stack interaction and mass protection, leaving its combat-driven victory vulnerable to opposing sweepers.
