Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Grub, Storied Matriarch // Grub, Notorious Auntie as an engine for explosive enter-the-battlefield, combat, and death triggers. By casting Grub early and transforming her into Notorious Auntie, the deck attacks to blight creatures on board and create attacking token copies. Cloning powerhouses such as Archon of Cruelty, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Fanatic of Mogis, and Combustible Gearhulk creates massive resource swings, card advantage, and direct damage. At the end of each turn, the expiring tokens trigger aristocrat enchantments like Grave Pact and Sothera, the Supervoid, forcing opponents to sacrifice their boards repeatedly. Fast mana rituals, robust reanimation spells, and backup cloning engines like Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Rionya, Fire Dancer maintain relentless pressure from Turn 5 onward, closing out games by Turn 7 through compounded burn, life drain, and evasive combat damage.
