Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color artifact and blink midrange strategy commanded by Karn, Gilded Guardian. The primary game plan revolves around generating colored artifact permanents and tokens (such as Heartwood tokens, Clues, and colored artifact creatures) to maximize Karn's enter-the-battlefield ability, drawing massive bursts of cards. Once the engine is online by Turn 4, the deck uses flicker effects like Flickering Hound, Appa, Steadfast Guardian, and Aang, Airbending Master to repeatedly trigger powerful enter-the-battlefield payoffs such as Archon of Cruelty, Noxious Gearhulk, and Psychosis Crawler. Win conditions include direct damage via Warstorm Surge, life drain loops, and overwhelming combat damage. A low-curve interaction package and robust protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Clever Concealment ensure resilience against opposing disruption.
