Lorehold, the Historian by happycatmeow35

Format: Commander

Commander: Lorehold, the Historian

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Boros spellslinger midrange deck helmed by Lorehold, the Historian, built around discard value, instant-and-sorcery payoffs, and the commander's unique miracle blanket. Lorehold gives every instant and sorcery in hand miracle {2}, attacks immediately thanks to haste, and filters cards on each opponent's upkeep. The 99 backs this with loot spells that make Treasures, prowess/token makers such as Young Pyromancer and Monastery Mentor, and a dense package of cheap protection. Primary wins are fair: go-wide combat after a critical mass of tokens, a well-timed Insurrection, life-total Storm Herd, or a second Approach of the Second Sun. Big modal haymakers like Soulfire Eruption, Call Forth the Tempest, and Rise of the Eldrazi (via miracle) provide alternate closeouts. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by out-resourcing the table and landing one decisive spell.
