Inferno FIREBALL! V3 by Gibbarius

Format: Commander

Commander: Inferno of the Star Mounts

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 30

Deck overview

This mono-red deck focuses on accelerating into its commander, Inferno of the Star Mounts, to deliver massive bursts of combat and noncombat damage. Because the commander cannot be countered and enters with haste, it presents an immediate threat the turn it is cast. The deck supports this aggressive game plan with mana doublers like Extraplanar Lens and Caged Sun, explosive rituals like Jeska's Will and Mana Geyser, and damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation and City on Fire. Power-doubling spells such as Unleash Fury allow the commander's firebreathing ability to easily reach the 20-power threshold, triggering its 20-damage direct burn ability. Deflection spells like Bolt Bend and Return the Favor redirect opposing removal back at enemy threats. The deck reliably closes out multiplayer games over consecutive turns by eliminating opponents one by one with lethal dragon strikes and magnified burn.
