Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos tribal aggro build led by Mauhúr, Uruk-hai Captain, centered on the Amass Orcs mechanic and +1/+1 counter synergy from The Lord of the Rings. The game plan focuses on deploying Mauhúr early to passively accelerate counter generation, transforming modest Amass triggers into massive Army tokens. Midgame plays establish repeatable combat triggers, card flow, and burn damage via March from the Black Gate, Call of the Ring, and The Great Goblin. The deck closes games through aggressive combat steps powered by trample, menace, and double strike from Orcish Siegemaster, Assault on Osgiliath, and Port Razer. While the deck possesses solid permanent removal and reliable creature-based recovery, its reliance on a tall Army token leaves it susceptible to well-timed bounce spells and sweepers, and its lack of stack interaction requires careful timing against faster combo strategies.
