Deck overview

This Simic deck is a classic Landfall engine piloted by Tatyova, Benthic Druid. The deck leverages efficient 1- and 2-drop ramp pieces like Sol Ring, Birds of Paradise, and Lotus Cobra to accelerate Tatyova onto the battlefield by Turn 4. Once assembled, every land drop converts into continuous card draw and life gain, quickly snowballing into substantial mana and card velocity. The deck transitions into its critical onset around Turn 6 by deploying exponential token generators such as Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Field of the Dead, alongside power doublers like Bristly Bill, Spine Sower and Mightform Harmonizer. While vulnerable to mass creature board wipes during its two response cycles before closing the game on Turn 8, the deck defends itself with versatile countermagic and protection spells like Heroic Intervention. Alternative win paths through Twenty-Toed Toad and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries ensure consistent closing power even if combat is stalled.
