Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck controls the battlefield through continuous sacrifice and attrition. Led by Avacyn, Angel of Horror, the deck accelerates mana early using black rituals, cost reducers, and mana doublers like Crypt Ghast. It establishes engines with cheap sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Warren Soultrader, converting disposable creatures into cards via Grim Haruspex and Morbid Opportunist. Once online, the deck locks down opposing creature boards using Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos. It finishes games by looping heavy drain payoffs, including Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Kokusho, the Evening Star, and Syr Konrad, the Grim, while Avacyn, Angel of Horror returns sacrificed nontoken permanents every end step for compounding value.
