Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Rootha, Mastering the Moment is the engine of an Izzet spell-slinger token deck. The primary plan is to cast a high-mana-value instant or sorcery in the first main phase, let Rootha create an X/X flying hasty Elemental, then multiply that token with Twinflame, Determined Iteration, and Rionya. Brudiclad acts as a hidden commander, converting every token into the largest Rootha token. Secondary paths use Manaform Hellkite, Prismari Pianist, and Renegade Bull to generate bodies or extra spell copies from the graveyard. Surge to Victory is the clean finisher, turning accumulated tokens plus one recursed spell into a one-shot combat kill. The commander accelerates and centralizes the plan, but the deck can still make tokens if she is removed.
