Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Simic midrange engine built around The Astonishing Ant-Man, converting card-draw velocity into +1/+1 counters and wide swarms of 1/1 Insect creature tokens. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost draw engines and counter enhancers such as Hardened Scales, Pollywog Prodigy, and Chasm Skulker. By mid-game, Ant-Man stockpiles counters and activates at opponent end steps to flood the battlefield with insects while drawing deep through cards like Skullclamp and Kindred Discovery. The primary victory route leverages explosive mass-pump effects, notably Craterhoof Behemoth, Coat of Arms, Banner of Kinship, and Champion of Lambholt, to deliver lethal combat damage across all opponents. While the engine exhibits strong card replenishment and backup token generation, it lacks specific creature tutors and heavy defensive shielding, making it susceptible to well-timed sweepers and targeted removal against its commander before token activation.
